Professional Development Membership

Professional Development Membership

Who is this for?

Professional Development Membership is designed for mediators and dispute resolution practitioners who:

  • Work within an agency or organisation and don’t need their own complaints handling
  • Hold AMDRAS accreditation or complaint handling through another Recognised Accreditation Provider (RAP)
  • Have completed FDR or mediation training and want to stay current with CPD
  • Are students of another training provider who want access to Mi’s CPD resources and member community

Note: Students completing training with Mediation Institute are automatically granted free student membership — you don’t need to join separately. Students of other training providers are welcome to join as Professional Development Members.

What’s included — $150/year

  • Access to all Mediation Institute CPD events and webinars
  • Access to the Mi member resource library
  • Your own CPD register to record and track professional development hours
  • Mi member newsletter and practice updates
  • Access to the Mi member community

What’s not included

Professional Development Membership does not include complaints handling, AMDRAS accreditation, or a listing in the Mi Mediator Directory. If you need any of these, see Practitioner Membership or AMDRAS Accredited Mediator Membership.

Join online at mimembers.au. Your membership is active immediately on payment.

Price: $150 per year (billed annually).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. If your circumstances change — for example, you set up independent practice and need complaint handling — you can upgrade to Practitioner Membership or AMDRAS Accredited Mediator Membership at any time.

Do I need AMDRAS accreditation to join?

No. Professional Development Membership is open to any mediator or dispute resolution practitioner. You don’t need AMDRAS accreditation or active practice to join.

Is this suitable if I’m doing training with Mi right now?

Yes. Students completing COT, FDR, or other Mi programs are welcome to join as Professional Development Members to access CPD resources and the member community while they train.
