About the Certificate of Assessment
The AMDRAS Certificate of Assessment provides access to mediator assessment under the AMDRAS Standards. It’s designed for those seeking accreditation as graduates of Certificate of Training (COT) course .
There are two options available:
Option 1: Assessment Only
Suitable for COT Graduates who are ready to demonstrate competence without additional support.
Option 2: Support Package
Includes mentoring, preparation, and a second assessment attempt if required.

What’s Involved in the Assessment Process?
The AMDRAS Certificate of Assessment includes structured preparation, observation opportunities, a live role play assessment, and a written task to confirm your readiness for accreditation.
Participants benefit from:
- Unlimited access to live online mediation role plays as an observer
- Opportunities to participate as a client in role plays to build confidence and familiarity
- Live online tutorial and reflective practice session
- A 2 to 2.5 hour live role play assessment with an accredited assessor
- Assessment based on AMDRAS core competencies
- If successful, progression to a reflective written task to complete the assessment requirement
- Support Package participants also receive one-on-one mentoring, feedback, and the option for a second assessment attempt if needed
Assessment Requirements
- ✔️ A 2 to 2.5-hour online role play assessment
- ✔️ A mandatory written assessment task (reflective responses)
- ✔️ Access to a preparation session (held monthly)
- ✔️ Opportunity to observe or participate in practice role plays (as a client role player)

- Mentoring and 1:1 feedback session
- Second attempt at role play assessment (if needed)

Additional support is available if needed. Optional extras include re-assessment sessions (if you need to repeat your assessment) or individual mentoring sessions for personalised guidance and feedback. These services are designed to help you succeed and build confidence in your mediation skills.
The Certificate of Assessment meets all requirements for AMDRAS accreditation, which is mandatory for practice. After successful assessment, you can apply for Mediation Institute membership and join the AMDRAS Register of Accredited Mediators.
