Ready for Assessment? NMAS and AMDRAS Options Available
This program is for individuals who have completed mediator training elsewhere and now need to be assessed for NMAS or AMDRAS Accreditation. It does not include training and is only suitable for those who are ready for assessment. If you have not yet completed NMAS or AMDRAS training, you are not eligible for this program. Please refer to our NMAS Mediator Training and Assessment Course or AMDRAS Mediator Training Course if you require both training and assessment.

NMAS Assessment Program
This program is for people who have not trained with Mediation Institute and are seeking assessment for NMAS Accreditation.
The program includes:
- full access to our online learning material
- practice role-plays / observations of our NMAS student role plays
- practice role-play as the mediator with full “assessment grade” feedback and guidance
- a one to one mentoring session on any areas needing further development
- assessment for NMAS Accreditation*
* if necessary you will be given the opportunity for re-assessment at no additional cost.
Upon successful completion you will be able to apply for National Accreditation under the NMAS System and will then become Nationally Accredited AMDRAS under the transition rules.
Eligibility Criteria Apply
This option is only available to eligible people. To be eligible you must provide evidence that one of the following conditions apply.
- eligibility to apply for NMAS accreditation from a complaint course within the preceding 24 months
- eligibility to apply for NMAS accreditation through the experience qualified pathway
- eligibility to apply for NMAS accreditation through the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Pathway (CALD)
- eligibility to apply for NMAS accreditation re-assessment due to previously being NMAS Accreditated but failing to meet the re-accreditation requirements in terms of practice hours in the preceding 2 years.
NMAS Assessment Program
Legacy NMAS Students Only after 1.7.25- Self-paced eLearning, webinar tutorials and a comprehensive manual
- Particiapte in a mininum of one practice role play as a client
- Participate in a practice role play as the mediator with full feedback
- Video Mediation Assessment role play

AMDRAS Certificate of Assessment
The Certificate of Assessment provides access to assessment under the AMDRAS Standards.
The requirement includes:
- a 2 to 2 1/2 online role play assessment
- a mandatory written assessment task
- access to a preparation session (run monthly)
- the opportunity to observe or participate in practice role-plays (as a client role player)
Eligibility Criteria Apply
This option is only available to eligible people. To be eligible you must provide evidence that one of the following conditions apply.
- a Certificate of Training (COT) issued by a Recognised Training Provider not more than 12 months ago.
- eligibility to apply for an AMDRAS assessement through an alternative pathway or for re-instatement of accreditation following a Leave of Absence, Lapse or Non-Practicing Certificate.
