Tutorials run on a six-week cycle, with start dates such as:
- 23 March 2026 – 8 May 2026 (Break: 2 April 2026 – 13 April 2026)
- 11 May 2026 – 19 June 2026
- 22 June 2026 – 31 July 2026
If you cannot attend all scheduled sessions in a cycle, you can complete required practical learning through additional role plays as a client or observer (with limits on mediator-role substitutions).

What comes after training?
After you complete the Certificate of Training (COT), you can progress to assessment for national accreditation.
- Certificate of Assessment (COA) (required for AMDRAS accreditation).
- Delivered online (written + role play assessment).
- Assessment fee: $700.
- Optional support package available: $1,200.

Do I need prior mediation experience?
No. This training is suitable for people new to mediation and those formalising existing skills under AMDRAS standards.
How long do I have to finish the course?
The structured program runs over six weeks; however, you can take up to six months to complete the requirements if your schedule requires more time.
Is attendance at live sessions mandatory?
AMDRAS requires a minimum amount of live practical learning. If you miss scheduled sessions, you must still accumulate the required live hours through additional role plays and participation.
What is the next step after the COT?
After the Certificate of Training, candidates typically complete the Certificate of Assessment (COA) to be assessed for national AMDRAS accreditation.
