The CHC8115 Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution has a direct link to the provisions of the Family Law Act 1975 and the Family Law (Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners) Regulations 2008.

Practitioners must apply to the Attorney Generals Department (AGD) for registration as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and depending on the applicant, must hold either units of competency or the full qualification for registration.

There are also requirement regarding good character, insurance and an external complaints process. Changes in any of these areas can require the suspension or cancellation of accreditation.
