The Mediators Standards Board announced a Request for Tender for the Review of the National Mediator Accreditation System
Mediation Institute would be happy to work with any suitably qualified member or members or NMAS Mediators from the wider dispute resolution community who would be interested in collaborating on a response to this body of work.
The tender close date is the 30th April 2020.
The current tender document is available here Request for Tender (Links to an external site.)
You can email us through the contacts form on https://www.mediationinstitute.edu.au/contacts/ to express your interest or respond to the discussion in the members’ course area. https://mi.study247.online/courses/9/discussion_topics/631
We would also like to use this discussion feed for any comments from members about suggestions you have for a revision of the NMAS
You can access the current standards here – https://msb.org.au/themes/msb/assets/documents/national-mediator-accreditation-system.pdf
Why are we calling out for collaborators?
We don’t have the resources in house to meet the requirements of the tender but would have the resources to support one or two people who would have the background experience, skills and interest in responding to the tender but would like the support of an organisation such as Mediation Institute including access to our members for detailed consultation about their perceptions of the strengths and opportunities presented by the current NMAS Standards.
As innovators in the industry and strong supporters of increased use of technology to support and enable greater access to dispute resolution services, we would be very interested in ensuring that there is an appropriate focus on innovation, accessibility and equipping the dispute resolution workforce of the future built into the design of the NMAS Standards.
Due date for a response
We will hold a web meeting on Thursday the 20th March to discuss the proposed tender with anyone who is interested in finding out more or being the lead on the tender application.
Email to request to attend. https://www.mediationinstitute.edu.au/contacts/
