This month we had three renewing members. Thank you for continuing to learn and share with Mediation Institute.

Welcome to our newest students.

It’s been a busy month with a number of new students on our NMAS Mediator Training and Assessment course, our Family Group Conference Facilitator Course with the Brisbane workshop, a couple of new students onto our CHC81115 – Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution Course, a number of new students joining our Property FDR Certificate Course and our Video Meeting Facilitation Course.

We hope you are all busy progressing through your courses and remember to call out to one of the team if you need any help.

Child Contact Supervisors Membership

We are adding a new membership category in order to support people who work in the Child Contact Supervision industry with membership based support services.

– independent complaint handling services

– free professional development webinars for members

– access to the members  area with tools, templates and resources

– this attractive logo you can use to show that your qualifications and/or experience has been reviewed and that you have met membership standards.

Membership criteria apply although we are allowing 2 years for those who are doing this work without the specific training to gain their Statement of Attainment.

There is no additional fee for existing members who qualify for this membership category so please log in before filling out the application.

Child Inclusive Practitioners Membership

We are strong supporters of processes that include children in decisions making  about their future and care such as Family Group Conferencing and Child Inclusive Practice with Family Dispute Resolution.

We have added another membership category to give greater visibility to those people who have done additional training and offer Child Consultations as part of Child Inclusive FDR.  The member based services include:

– access to the members’  area with tools, templates and resources

The final new membership category we will be introducing is as a certified coach. The goal is to distinguish coaches who are qualified, certified, insured and who have an independent complaint handling body from those who do not.

Events in July 2019

This special webinar is an opportunity for people providing child contact supervision to find out more about the new membership category for Child Contact Supervisors.

We will also talk about our Recognition of Prior Learning option for experienced supervisors and plans for training in the specific units of competence that relate to the work.

The session is free and will provide plenty of time for Q & A

We will be recording the event and providing a copy to those who have registered.

This regular webinar on the 1st Monday of each month provides a tutorial for new students and a chance to review and refresh for existing mediators.

Our Online Peer Group Supervision sessions are an opportunity for members and students to talk about cases and scenarios relating to our professional practice.

It is an open, non-judgemental and confidential opportunity to share and question. 

The focus is on the work of dispute resolution. We break up into separate virtual rooms if we have groups that want to talk together about specific aspects of the work or remain in one group if preferred.
