Mediation Institute established to fill a need for mediators and those who want to become mediators to train and participate in professional development without the need to travel or disrupt their lives while developing and deepening their skills. Prior to COVID we held infrequent social gatherings and some in person training sessions.
That said there are some opportunities coming up and the Mi Mediator Network can provide a tool to help members of the network to catch up. You can create an event to catch up with other members in a location near you. Get in touch if you need help with how to do this.
Those attending the State of Family Law Conference being hosted by Smokeball and FamilyProperty may find that an opportunity to catch up.
I’m going to be presenting at the Melbourne Conference and also attending the Australian Institute of Family Studies Conference in Melbourne. If you’re also attending either of those events it would be great to catch up in person.

Did you know that you have the option to transfer your membership from one Recognised Mediator Accreditation Body (RMAB) to another?
You can do this when your membership with the other RMAB is due, simply complete the transfer section on our renewal form.
You can be a member with both Mediation Institute and another RMAB, however you can only be NMAS accredited through one RMAB.
Mediation Institute is happy to promote events run by other organisations that may be valuable to Mediation Institute Members.

The NMAS Review has been completed and now is in the implementation phase as the Mediator Standards Board works on the changes to the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS) flowing from the review.
The National Mediation Conference (NMC) will be held outside Australia for the first time with the Conference taking place in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Aotearoa (Wellington New Zealand) on the 3 – 6 the September 2023
