Did you know that you have the option to transfer your membership from one Recognised Mediator Accreditation Body (RMAB) to another?
You can do this when your membership with the other RMAB is due, simply complete the transfer section on our renewal form.
You can be a member with both Mediation Institute and another RMAB, however you can only be NMAS accredited through one RMAB.
This six-month course is run by Mediation Institute member, Lisanne Iriks, and is designed to give you what you need to start your successful mediation practice or improve your current practice. Lisanne, an award-winning FDRP who runs a successful mediation practice and designed this program with everything she wanted to know when she started out 14 years ago. The consultation period for the Exposure Draft: Family Law Amendment Bill (No. 2) 2023 opened on the 18th September, and closes on the 10th November 2023
The DRAFT AMDRAS Australian Mediation and Dispute Resolution Accreditation System was released for consultation on the 30th August 2023.
International Mediation Awareness Week IMAW 2023 is held between the 6th and the 10th November 2023 but will have preliminary events and post events as well!
The NMAS Review has been completed and now is in the implementation phase as the Mediator Standards Board works on the changes to the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS) flowing from the review.
The National Mediation Conference (NMC) will be held outside Australia for the first time with the Conference taking place in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Aotearoa (Wellington New Zealand) on the 3 – 6 the September 2023. See you there!
