Starting a new Family Mediation Practice?
28 January @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm AEDT
The team at FamilyProperty are hosting an all day event to help new Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners to establish your mediation practice.
Are you thinking about starting a new family mediation practice, or have you started one in the last year?
Join us on Thursday 28 January 2021 for this very practical discussion. We know you are sick of advice aimed at lawyers and that is not what this day is about.
Each speaker will only go for half an hour, because we know you probably have event fatigue, and we want to provide you with different types of input.
We will of course also provide written information or checklists for you to follow up with later. At the moment our speakers include:
Marketing – The ethical boundaries for marketing your practice – Joanne Law @ Mediation Institute
Collaborative practice – which professionals should you collaborate with, what happens if you require parties to obtain legal advice, and what does collaboration actually look like? – Christina @ Simple Separation
An ounce of prevention – what you should do your first year to avoid trouble down the track – Mariano Rossetto, Director of Forensic Accounting @ Vincents
Sales – how selling a service is different from selling a product, and how to actually sell yourself once you get the client on the phone – Shannel Fanous @ FamilyProperty
Marketing – marketing yourself and networking to build your firm – Fiona Kirkman @ FamilyProperty
Graphic Design – what can you do on Canva, what do you need to pay for, and how much will it cost you?
Automation – what can you automate, things that people don’t think about that can save you time and stress – Deb Vella @ Support Legal
Why you should not just take the number from the bottom of the financial reports, and what you as a mediator are allowed to say about that – Mariano Rossetto, Director of Forensic Accounting @ Vincents and Fiona Kirkman @ FamilyProperty
Where can I find clients? – Janis Donnelly-Coode @ Janis Consults
We want this to be practical for you, it isn’t about how to be a mediator but rather the business side of things. If you have any questions then please feel free to contact Janis Donnelly-Coode by email on email@example.com
If you would like to join us on Thursday 28 January 2021 then please fill out the form on the FamilyProperty hosted post – https://www.familyproperty.com.au/post/starting-a-new-family-mediation-practice
