Mediation Institute is delighted to host the directors of Resolution Resources, Emma-May Litchfield and Danielle Hutchinson for an information session about the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS) Review Survey.

In the session Emma-May and Danielle will give us some insights into the methodology for the survey and answer questions you have about the survey or the NMAS Review process.

What is the NMAS Review Survey?

The NMAS Review is a process designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the NMAS and consider any changes and additions that need to be made to it. These recommendations will then be given to the Mediator Standards Board (MSB) for consideration.

The final stage of the consultation component of the NMAS Review will occur on the 14th to 28th February 2022 with the NMAS Review Survey. It will include questions in relation to the Approval and Practice Standards as well as the system itself. The survey is the culmination of a process involving reference groups, collaborative workshops and a pilot.

The survey is open to the entire dispute resolution community in Australia as well as dispute resolution organisations such as the Recognised Mediator Accreditation Bodies (RMAB) like Mediation Institute and any other interested stakeholders.

It is an opportunity for dispute resolution professionals and organisations to reflect on what we do and how we do it as well as those who use the services of mediators to add their perspectives.
