Thursday 10 March, 10am-4pm (AEDT)

Our priority is to see better outcomes for children and their families. Across the nation, the work being undertaken to address the needs of the most complex and at-risk families and communities is frequently being done by social workers.

This platform will provide the opportunity to discuss latest trends in working with these vulnerable communities, systemic issues in workforce deployment and resilience and how we are serving Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities.

The Symposium will feature several keynote speakers and panel discussions, including time for attendees to engage in Q&A with all presenters.

There will be three panel discussions:

PANEL 1: Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Conversation
PANEL 2: Research and Practice Trends in the Child Protection Sector
PANEL 3: Ongoing Workforce Challenges in Child Protection and Building Resilience for Frontline Practitioners.
The AASW Are We Caring For Everyone? Exploring Child Protection in Australia Symposium will seek to explore current child protection practice trends and research in the area, challenges faced by child protection social workers and how we can care better support frontline workers.

This promises to be an influential, highly-anticipated and thought-provoking event. Be part of it and register today.

Free for AASW Members, $160 for non members
